Waterways - Regular contributions to the canal press, in particular 'Canal and Riverboat' magazine, as well as other consumer press.  Nick is also series editor of the Tempus Towpath Guides and has written a biography of the canal pioneer James Brindley.

Walking - Nick has written three walking books covering the home counties of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.  Detailed walks are also a feature in the Tempus Towpath Guides.

Social History - Both books and articles covering aspects of the shaping of modern society.

Fiction - Nick's fiction has featured on LBC Radio and he is currently writing a full length novel.
