Nick has written for a number of national and local publications as well as a monthly column called Cor Blimey! for the My News family of local magazines (click here for more info)..  The following list gives a flavour of some of his work:

"Going With the Flow" - a feature in 'Walk', journal of the Rambler's Association, on the pleasures of waterside walking, including a suggested top ten of waterside walks.  This complements "Still Waters", an article in 'Cycle' magazine on the pleasures of towpath cycling.

"Forgotten Mastermind of the Canals" - a feature in 'Best of British' magazine reassessing James Brindley.

"Take A Holiday Afloat Without The Argy-Bargy" - a feature in 'The Times' on the do's and don'ts of a canal holiday.

"Unlocking the Canals" - a feature in Practical Motorhome on the practicalities of following waterways in your motorhome.

"Buckinghamshire's Prime Minister" - a feature on Sir William Grenville, the Prime Minister responsible for abolishing the slave trade for 'Buckinghamshire Countryside'.  Another article for this magazine "Tragic Queen of the Air" considered the career of Amy Johnson in the centenary of her birth.

"The Sutton Bungler" - a feature in 'Chesire Life' on James Brindley.

"The Men Who United A Kingdom" - a feature in 'Hertfordshire Countryside' on the partnership between the Duke of Bridgewater and James Brindley.

"The Kursaal Flyers" - a feature in 'Essex Life' on the Wall of Death at Southend's Kursaal Amusement Park.  This complements an article in 'Lancashire Life' on Wall of Death rider Doug 'Mileaway' Murphy called "A Gentleman on the Wall of Death".

"A Peak Pioneer's Defining Moment" - a feature on Peak District hero James Brindley featuring in 'Peak District Magazine'.

"A Marylebone Towpath" - a feature in 'Four Shires' magazine reflecting on the shared route between canals and the railway route out of Marylebone.
